The board of Fenix has approved grants to two high flying members Viviana and Zarina towards the fees for post-graduate health degrees.
Viviana has already qualified as a doctor of medicine with the support of Fenix and will study for a Masters in Public Health at leading Bogota university Los Andes. This will be the highest qualification of any Fenix member. Zarina, a qualified dentist and another Fenix protege, will start a postgraduate degree in Health Care Management and Auditing next year.
Both of these young and dedicated professionals will lead and manage care programmes for vulnerable children and young people - a key aim of Fenix since it was founded - and will prepare to run their own organisation in the future.
"It is thanks to Children of Colombia's unwavering fund-raising help that Fenix can now fund these advanced degrees," writes Fenix founder Timothy Ross.
Children of Colombia recently sent money to all three charities in Colombia.
